Council Compliant Carport Design Needed

Job ID: 40027927

Budget: $15 – $25 AUD

The project centres on a single-bay metal carport that will serve purely as secure vehicle storage at my Perth residence. I already understand the local council’s setback, height and storm-water requirements and now need a designer who can translate those rules into a build-ready solution that blends practicality with curb appeal.

Scope of work
• Concept development that balances function, aesthetics and the mandated roof pitch, boundary clearances and wind ratings for Perth.
• Full architectural drawings and structural details in a format accepted by the City of Perth (PDF + native CAD).
• Engineering notes or certification, if required, to accompany the submission.
• A brief specification sheet covering materials, coatings and fasteners suited to an all-metal construction.
• Guidance during the council approval process until approval is granted.

Acceptance criteria
1. Plans reference the exact lot dimensions I will provide and stay within all council envelopes.
2. Drawings are detailed enough for both council assessors and my builder to price and construct without further clarification.
3. Any revisions requested by council are incorporated promptly within the original fee.

Please attach examples of previous residential structures—ideally carports or garages—that successfully passed council approval. Familiarity with Australian Standards, NCC 2022 and local wind regions will set your proposal apart.
