Convert Patio to Bedroom & Deck
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to take a 200 sq ft covered patio and turn it into a ground-level bedroom with an en-suite bath, then finish everything off with a walk-on sun deck above. Indoors I want a crisp, Modern feel; outside the new walls should be wood framed and either hardy board/plank finish or stucco. I’d like durable Vinyl flooring running through the new bedroom and bathroom.
What I need now are complete, permit-ready plans: floor layout, elevations, structural details that show how the existing slab and posts will support the deck, plus plumbing, electrical, waterproofing and railing specs. A few 3-D visuals would help me picture the final look, but code-compliant drawings (PDF and original CAD/Revit files) are the key deliverable. This project is located in Naples, FL. We are prone to flooding so I do want to raise the finish floor elevation maybe around 1-3 feet or so, whatever is most feasible given the final design.
