Commercial Storage Addition Plans

Job ID: 40623858

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a full set of architectural drawings that converts a small section of my recently re-zoned house into a compliant storage area. The city has already reclassified the property as commercial, so everything you prepare must satisfy commercial code requirements and be ready for immediate submission to the local Building Department.

What I have
• PDF and CAD of the existing layout—basic but accurate.
• Preliminary measurements and photos of the space.

What I need from you
• Code-compliant floor plan, elevations, sections, and any required details that clearly show the new storage area.
• Coordination notes for structural, electrical, and fire-safety as they relate to commercial storage use.
• A clean digital package (DWG and print-ready PDF) that I can attach directly to the permit application.

Local reviewers are strict on egress, accessibility, occupancy, and load ratings, so please be comfortable checking the relevant IBC chapters and any local amendments. I work in AutoCAD myself, so compatibility there is a plus, though Revit users are welcome as long as you can export layered DWGs.

Once hired, I will send over the existing plans and a checklist from the Building Department. My goal is to submit within two weeks, so clear communication and quick turnarounds on mark-ups are important.

If you have experience converting residential spaces to commercial use—especially storage—let’s talk and get this permit set finished.
