California Deck As-Built Certification
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
A recently completed residential deck now needs an as-built certification report to obtain a permit with the local California building department. I have a set of construction blueprints, but they have not been approved by the building department.
Either a California-licensed architect or structural engineer may take on the assignment. You will visit the site , confirm that the deck conforms to the submitted drawings and the current California Building Code, and then prepare a professional, stamped report that the county can file.
Deliverables
• Field verification of the finished deck against the provided blueprints
• Signed, dated, and California-stamped as-built certification letter/report ready for building-department submission
• Any supplemental sketches or calculations the jurisdiction may request
The project is ready to start immediately and will be considered complete once the authority having jurisdiction accepts the report without further revisions.
