VA Architect: Childcare Sink Retrofit
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I operate a licensed childcare center in Virginia and must add an additional hand-washing sink to our existing kitchen to stay compliant with state health codes. Because the building is already in use, I need a Virginia-licensed commercial architect who can quickly produce permit-ready drawings that show the exact location, plumbing route, and any related code notes for the new sink within the current kitchen layout.
Here is the scope:
• Verify current kitchen dimensions on site (or work from my as-built plans and photos if an in-person visit is unnecessary).
• Design the hand-washing sink installation, including clearances, splash protection, and fixture specs that meet childcare and health-department requirements.
• Update the floor plan and plumbing plan accordingly, stamping the sheets with your Virginia seal for submission to my local building department.
• Provide a short specification sheet for the plumber and a PDF set ready for electronic permitting.
