Unified GIS Database Migration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have eight GDB-format geodatabases—about 10 GB each and roughly 140 layers apiece—that need to be merged into one consolidated repository within five days. During the transfer I expect strict validation, with data accuracy as the non-negotiable priority.
Here is what I need from you:
• Plan and carry out the migration using whatever stack you believe will deliver fastest and safest results (ArcGIS Pro / ArcPy, FME, GDAL/OGR, PostGIS tools, Python automation, etc.).
• Run comprehensive checks on geometry, attribute completeness, and spatial reference so that every feature reaches the target store intact and correct.
• Produce a brief report summarising the validation steps taken and any fixes applied, plus reusable scripts or workspace files so I can rerun the workflow later if needed.
Deliverables
1. A single, ready-to-use unified geodatabase containing all 1 120 layers.
2. The scripts or configuration files used for the migration.
3. A validation report confirming zero data loss and detailing accuracy tests performed.
Acceptance criteria
– Feature and attribute counts match source to target.
– All geometries pass ESRI “Check Geometry” (or equivalent) tests.
– Spatial references remain consistent or any transformations are fully documented.
