OSP Fiber CAD/GIS Mapping
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a clean, engineer-ready set of OSP fiber maps produced in both CAD and GIS formats. The focus is Outside Plant design only, and the finished drawings must clearly show three things:
• Exact manhole and handhole placements
• A clear depiction of where the fiber will run in-row (right-of-way)
• Complete, traceable fiber routes from origin to termination
Source data—survey files, field notes, KMZs, or red-lined PDFs—will be supplied as soon as we start. You’ll organize them, build the network layers, and return a coordinated package that lines up accurately with state-plane coordinates.
Deliverables
1. Layered CAD file (DWG) with OSP symbology
2. GIS shapefiles (or GeoPackage) for all network layers
3. A print-ready, scaled PDF plan set
I’ll review against the above three bullet points for acceptance: every manhole/handhole must be geo-located, every in-row fiber segment must be visible, and end-to-end routes must connect without breaks.
Tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or similar are fine so long as the files open without conversion issues. If clarifications are needed, let’s settle them early so the first draft comes back on target.
