Middle East U.S. Forces Map in arabic
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a publication-ready thematic map that visualises all publicly reported U.S. military installations, forward operating sites, and rotational deployments across the Middle East. Everything must read in Arabic, from country labels and city names to the legend and explanatory notes, so right-to-left layout awareness is essential.
Scope
• Gather, vet, and geocode location data drawn primarily from peer-reviewed academic journals; complementary references (e.g., news wires or declassified government summaries) may be used for cross-checking, yet the academic citation base has to remain clear and traceable.
• Design the map in a style consistent with leading policy institutes such as CFR, RAND, or Stratfor—clean typography, subdued colour palette, and a balanced mix of political boundaries and operational overlays.
• Deliver a single, high-resolution PNG suitable for insertion into PowerPoint and PDF reports (minimum 5,000 px on the long edge). If you work in QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, or Illustrator, please also include the layered source file so my team can apply future updates.
Acceptance criteria
1. Accurate plotting of each site within ±10 km where open-source coordinates allow.
2. Arabic text properly shaped and legible at both print (300 dpi A4) and screen (1080p) sizes.
3. Legend, scale bar, north arrow, and citation block all present and balanced.
4. Colour scheme remains colour-blind-safe and prints well in greyscale.
If you have recent samples of Arabic or bi-lingual cartography, that will help me evaluate fit quickly.
