Planning and Design of Jammu Metro (B.Tech Final Year Project)
Project Description:
I’m looking for a civil engineering freelancer (preferably with experience in transportation planning, structural design, or metro projects) to help complete my B.Tech project titled “Planning and Design of Jammu Metro.”
The project involves both planning and structural design aspects — including feasibility, route selection, metro corridor planning, and design of bridge/viaduct components using relevant software and IRC codes.
Scope of Work:
Planning & Feasibility:
Study of Jammu city urban mobility and population data.
Route optimization using GIS (QGIS/ArcGIS).
Preparation of project alignment and corridor mapping.
Integration with major traffic zones and urban centers.
Structural Design:
Design of metro viaduct components (PSC Box Girders, Pier, Bearings, etc.).
Use of software like MIDAS Civil / STAAD.Pro for analysis.
Preparation of detailed drawings (AutoCAD).
Application of relevant codes (IRC 6, IRC 112, IS 1343, etc.).
Documentation & Report Preparation:
Preparation of final Detailed Project Report (DPR) style document.
Include calculations, analysis results, design drawings, and references.
Deliver PowerPoint and report in B.Tech academic format.
Preferred Skills:
Civil Engineering background (Transportation / Structural).
Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, and QGIS/ArcGIS.
Familiarity with Metro / Bridge design codes (IRC, IS).
Good technical report writing and presentation skills.
Timeline:
Expected completion within 2–3 weeks.

₹5,000 (negotiable based on expertise and work scope).

A PowerPoint presentation with preliminary project data, objectives, and methodology is already available for reference.
