Australian Data Centre Market Map
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need a visual-driven data analyst to discover and turn raw research into two clear deliverables—a polished PowerPoint deck and a structured Excel matrix—mapping the entire addressable data-centre market in Australia over the next five years.
Scope
• Build a comprehensive database of every proposed and existing data-centre site nationwide.
• Capture for each site: MW size, indicative Capex, current stage (feasibility, funded, design, build, operational), developer name, landowner, local council, water availability, and proximity to the electricity grid.
• Lay out the annual pipeline so growth is visible year-by-year.
Deliverables
- Excel master sheet: clean, filterable columns, with pivot-ready data.
- PowerPoint deck: 5–25 slides featuring maps, charts, and an executive summary.
- Source list/links in a separate tab or slide.
Priorities
• Data-centre developers are the key focus; landowners and councils add context.
• MW capacity, Capex, and project stage must be as accurate as possible; when using estimates, flag assumptions clearly.
• Visual clarity is essential—maps should instantly show power and water accessibility for each location.
Research methods may include open data portals, industry reports, government planning approvals, and AI-assisted web scraping; every datapoint must be referenced for verification. Experience with GIS tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or Google Earth is a plus.
I’m ready to select quickly and will provide prompt feedback. When you bid, please share a relevant sample or outline how you’d approach the task.
