ArcGIS Topographic Hydrography Map Analysis

Job ID: 40627226

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have a dataset that needs to be transformed into a clear, accurate topographic map focused on hydrography—rivers and lakes are the central layers I want highlighted. Using ArcGIS Pro (or ArcMap if you prefer), I need you to:

• Run the geospatial analysis necessary to extract and clean the hydrographic features from my source files.
• Generate elevation shading and contours so the terrain context is obvious without cluttering the water data.
• Style the final map so river networks, lake boundaries, and relevant labels stand out at both small‐ and large-scale zoom levels.

The finished deliverables should include:
1. A fully layered ArcGIS project file (.aprx or .mxd) with symbology intact.
2. A high-resolution PDF and a web-optimised image (PNG or JPEG) ready for publication.
3. A brief read-me outlining the steps you took and any assumptions or projections applied.

I do not need roads, buildings, or other infrastructure at this time, but if you see value in subtle additions that improve spatial context I am open to suggestions. Accuracy and cartographic clarity are more important than fancy effects, so please keep your workflow transparent and reproducible. Let me know your estimated turnaround and any data you need from me to get started.
