Arabic-English Engineering Drawings Translation
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
The task is to convert a set of engineering drawings supplied only as PDFs from Arabic into English while maintaining absolute technical accuracy. All dimensions, call-outs, equations, symbols, notes, captions, footnotes and page numbers must stay exactly where the original designer placed them, so the translated file can be over-laid onto the source without any visual drift.
Because these drawings will be referenced against ISO, ASTM and IEC requirements, terminology must follow the same standards. Whenever an expression is ambiguous, add a brief in-text comment so reviewers can see the issue immediately. I will provide a brief sample page for you to test your approach; once approved, the full batch follows.
Preferred profile
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience reading complex schematics
• Previous Arabic↔English work published in technical venues
• Confident with tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Illustrator for redrawing if needed, though the current files arrive as locked PDFs
Deliverables
1. Editable Word file mirroring original pagination and layout
2. Clean, print-ready PDF reflecting the final English text
3. A short change-log or comment sheet flagging every ambiguity identified
