Window Estimate Dropdown App
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need a small program that lets me build clear, professional cost estimates for my window-replacement customers. The flow I have in mind is simple: I open the app, choose a window style from a dropdown that shows thumbnail images, enter the size and quantity etc.
Window styles should not be limited to only single-hung, double-hung, or casement; I want the structure flexible so I can upload or swap in any window image/category in the future without code changes. A clean, modern interface is important because I’ll be sharing my screen with homeowners while we talk numbers.easy to use platform
Core deliverables
• A working desktop or browser-based application (whichever you’re strongest at)
• Dropdown gallery of window images with easy add/replace functionality
• Real-time cost calculation logic that separates product price from optional installation labour
• Editable price tables so I can update material and labour rates myself
• A printable/email-ready summary I can hand to the customer
Acceptance criteria
1. Selecting a window image instantly pulls in the correct base cost.
2. Toggling “include installation” refreshes the total while preserving the original product-only number.
3. Adding a new window style through an admin screen (or simple folder drop) automatically shows it in the dropdown.
4. Final estimate exports cleanly to PDF.
If you already have experience with lightweight pricing tools—perhaps built with Excel-VBA, Python (Tkinter/Flask), or JavaScript frameworks—that’s a plus, but I’m open to your preferred stack so long as updates are straightforward for a non-coder.
