Virtual Stock Trading Android App

Job ID: 40264270

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

I’m kicking off the first phase of a long-term project: an Android application that lets users experience stock trading in a purely virtual environment. In this MVP I need four core capabilities running smoothly:

• Secure user registration and login (Google/Facebook or email).
• Real-time market data display so prices feel authentic.
• A virtual trading module where users can buy, sell, and track positions with play money.
• A personal account screen aggregating portfolio value, past trades, and leader-board rank.

The big objective right now is user engagement while I test market interest, so I’m planning to drive activity through in-app competitions and weekly challenges. Smooth animation, quick order execution, and a clean material-design interface will be critical for keeping people hooked.

I’m open to Kotlin or modern Java, but the codebase must be well-structured for future iOS and web ports. Think MVVM, clean API layers, and sensible dependency injection. You’re free to lean on Firebase Auth, Firestore, or a REST backend if you can justify the trade-offs; just make sure the data layer is easy to swap later.

What will make me say “yes”:
• An APK (or Play Console test release) that satisfies the four features above.
• Source code in a private Git repo with clear commit history and README.
• A brief hand-off call or video walkthrough so I understand your architecture choices.
• Timely communication and a mindset for a continuing collaboration as we add real brokerage integration, cash wallets, and social features next.

If you enjoy building engaging fintech experiences and see the potential in growing this into a full production platform, let’s start with this MVP and grow together.
