Sales report generator

Need help for developing a program that can generate a sales report (CSV or XLS format) from a raw data file (.TXT format) with different fields. Raw data file is basically a program log that records all events, so it'll need to look for the monetary transactions. Some fields required would be number of sales, denominations of cash collected, how many digital payments were made and how much.
The program should have a manual function (user is manually loading a TXT file), and able to generate a sales report from day/month/year. It should also have an automated function where it emails a daily report.
