We want to develop a simplified mobile calendar platform for Android and iOS with the following key features:
Core Functionalities:
A very simple user interface.
A main action button (like Snapchat’s camera button) to send a notification to selected users.
Possibility to share a download link for others to join the app.
A group directory (similar to WhatsApp) where:
Each group has a countdown to its upcoming event.
Groups are sorted by countdown, not by recent activity.
App Navigation:
A top or bottom menu bar with these tabs:
Groups
Create Event (center button – like sending a snap)
My Calendar (MyPingd)
(Optional) Archives
Smart Availability & Event Creation:
Users can see if their friends are available or busy, without seeing full calendar details.
When creating an event:
The user sets the date first.
Then, the app suggests only the friends who are available at that time, based on their calendar availability (free/busy status only, no event details).
