Build AppSheet Project Management App (Google Sheets backend)
Overview:
I need a freelancer to build a Project Management application in Google AppSheet using a Google Sheets backend. The app is for a services/engineering-style workflow and must support configurable lists (types, statuses, priorities, etc.) via reference tables (not hardcoded dropdowns).
Scope and Requirements:
* Build an AppSheet app connected to a Google Sheet schema (tables such as Projects, Organizations, Contacts, Engineers, ProjectTasks, ProjectEngineers, Templates, TemplateTasks, ActivityLog, Notifications, MonthlySequences).
* Configurable enum tables for Project Types, Project Statuses, Priorities, Payment Statuses, Task Types, and Organization Types, with an “Active” flag so inactive values are not selectable.
* Projects must include: type, status, priority, payment status (all via Ref tables), due dates, overdue logic, financial fields (estimated budget, actual cost, invoice amount), address/location, and notes.
* Relationships:
* Organizations to Contacts (one-to-many)
* Projects to Engineers (many-to-many)
* Projects to Tasks (many-to-many with completion tracking)
* Templates to Template Tasks
* Views and features:
* Project list and project detail
* Dashboard/metrics (summary counts and charts if feasible)
* Calendar view (projects by created and/or due date)
* Engineer workload view
* Client/Organization overview
* Audit trail using ActivityLog that captures key project changes (status, payment status, assignments, etc.).
* Notifications view for upcoming deadlines, overdue projects, and overdue invoices (can be table-driven or computed).
* Project numbering must follow HF-YYMM### with a monthly reset. Prefer a reliable approach using AppSheet automation or an Apps Script endpoint.
Deliverables:
* Fully working AppSheet app with clean UX for mobile and desktop
* Proper key/ref setup, validations, and formulas documented
* Google Sheet template populated with test data
* Short handoff documentation (and optionally a brief walkthrough video) explaining structure and how to maintain the configurable lists and templates
Nice to Have:
* CSV export action/view
* Role-based access (Admin vs standard users)
* Performance optimization for scaling
