B2B Webshop: Supplier Data Retrieval & Comparison
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
Help wanted: daily/multi-daily comparison of supplier prices and stock levels (B2B webshop)
Text: We operate a B2B webshop where business customers can place orders or commission items on request. Most of the goods are sourced directly from manufacturers. For most suppliers we have access to their stock levels and current prices; for some, no login is required, while others require login credentials.
We are looking for a solution or a skilled professional who can help us retrieve supplier prices and stock levels daily — ideally multiple times per day — and compare them with our internal purchase prices so we stay up to date. No automatic syncing with our system or automatic price changes are required. It is sufficient if discrepancies between supplier prices and our system purchase prices are detected and reported.
Goals:
Daily/multi-daily extraction of supplier prices and stock levels (with/without login)
Comparison with our system’s recorded purchase prices
Notifications or alerts for discrepancies or missing data
Secure storage of credentials (where needed) and compliance with data protection/privacy guidelines
Easy scalability as the number of suppliers increases
Required skills/experience:
API or data source integration (REST/SOAP, CSV/JSON/XML imports; web scraping only when permissible)
Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, scheduling (Cron, CI/CD tools, Zapier/Integromat or similar)
Knowledge of price and stock data reconciliation, logging, error handling
Handling secure authentication, token management, secrets management
Ability to implement discrepancy alerts (email/Slack/chat alerts) and provide a simple dashboard or reporting interface
What we offer:
Clear list of suppliers with access types (login-dependent or public)
Example data formats and interfaces where available
Open budgeting depending on scope (project basis or retainer possible)
If you or your company is interested in assisting us, please contact us with:
A short introduction/references in supplier integrations for B2B shops
Proposed approach (architecture ideas, technologies, security concept)
Estimated effort (initial implementation vs. ongoing operation) and budget range
Desired working model (project basis, retainer, or permanent)
