Technical Content Writer for Software

Job ID: 40396124

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m looking for a writer who can take conversations with our engineers and product team and turn them into polished, developer-friendly content. Most of what you’ll produce are blog posts, step-by-step tutorials, and formal technical documentation that cover software development best practices, API integrations, and broader IT systems architecture.

What matters most is your ability to translate highly technical discussions into clear, accurate prose without dumbing things down. You should be comfortable digging through code samples or API references, asking follow-up questions, and then shaping what you learn into material that both seasoned developers and curious newcomers can follow.

Day-to-day you’ll:

• Draft and refine blog posts, tutorials, and docs
• Optimise each piece for search intent without sacrificing depth
• Collaborate directly with engineers for fact-checking and technical accuracy
• Publish through our CMS, formatting headings, code blocks, and diagrams as needed

A solid grasp of software concepts is essential; hands-on CMS experience will make your first week smoother. If you can quickly absorb new tooling or languages, you’ll thrive here.

When submitting your proposal, share one link to a long-form technical article you’ve written and a short note on how you ensured accuracy for that piece. Let’s build content that developers will bookmark and reference repeatedly.
