Shopify Google Marketplace Authentication Fix

Job ID: 40218215

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

My Shopify store sells digital, downloadable religious artwork and I already set up a Google Marketplace (Merchant Center) account so I can start advertising. The snag is at the very first step: when I connect the Google Marketplace sales channel inside Shopify I get an “authentication failed” message and the process stops.

I have not yet used any of the official troubleshooting guides from either platform, and the store is running on a clean theme with no custom code or third-party apps installed, so the cause should be straightforward. I can provide the exact wording of the error and full access to the Google Merchant Center and Shopify admin as soon as we begin.

What I need from you:
• Identify the root cause of the authentication failure and apply the fix inside Shopify and/or Merchant Center.
• Verify that the sales channel stays connected and that my product feed is accepted by Google without warnings.
• Walk me through any setting I may need to keep an eye on in the future so I do not run into the same roadblock again.

If you have experience pairing Shopify with Google Merchant Center and understand OAuth, API permissions, DNS/SSL, or similar connection pitfalls, this should be a quick win. Let me know your estimated turnaround time and any access you’ll need beyond collaborator permissions.
