Senior Python Senaite LIMS Integration -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need an experienced Python developer who has already delivered production work on the latest version of Senaite LIMS. My lab is rolling out several upgrades and I want to move quickly on three fronts:
• Customization of Senaite LIMS so that our Life-Science workflows, sample lifecycle, and QC rules are built directly into the interface and REST endpoints.
• Seamless integration of both analytical instruments (chromatography, mass-spec) and biological instruments (plate readers, flow cytometers) so that results post automatically to the correct samples, with full audit trails.
• Robust data analysis and reporting so scientists can launch predefined dashboards, download CSV/Excel exports, and trigger PDF certificates with one click.
You will work against a staging instance before pushing to production, commit code to Git, and document every change. I expect clean, idiomatic Python, knowledge of Senaite add-on architecture, and comfort consuming instrument output files or network streams.
Deliverables
1. Custom Senaite add-on (source + compiled egg) reflecting our workflow needs.
2. Instrument drivers or adapters that parse raw data and post it through Senaite’s API.
3. Reporting module with templated PDFs and interactive dashboards.
4. Setup notes and developer-level documentation sufficient for future maintenance.
5. Sample loging template for other verticle
Acceptance Criteria
• All instrument types auto-upload results with zero manual edits.
• Sample statuses, QC flags, and calculations match our validation set.
• Reports render in under five seconds and pass formatting checklist.
