QR School Visitor Management System

I’m rolling out a smart, QR-based School Visitor Management System that will finally retire the manual logbook and give our campus a faster, safer way to handle every arrival. The platform must recognise three visitor groups—parents, vendors, and government officials—while keeping administration simple for front-desk staff.

Core workflow
• QR-based check-in and check-out for touch-free, time-stamped entry
• Instant, real-time notifications to the appropriate teacher or department the moment a scan occurs
• Automatic visitor history tracking that can be filtered by person, date, or purpose

Security layer
• ID verification before any QR code is issued
• Role-based access control levels so each visitor only reaches permitted areas
• One-tap emergency alerts that log the incident and notify security immediately

Deliverables
• Responsive web dashboard plus a mobile-friendly scanning interface
• Secure, encrypted database for visitor and ID data
• API documentation and a concise admin manual
• Deployed, tested solution running on our school server

Acceptance is met when I can run an end-to-end visitor journey, trigger an emergency alert, and generate a history report with no manual intervention.
