Phone verification in my app stalls every time it reaches the code-generation step and throws a system error before the SMS can be sent. Email and identity checks are fine—this glitch is limited to phone verification only.
I already cleared the cache on the affected devices, yet the failure persists. Restarting the device or chasing app updates might help, but I’d rather have a clean fix in the backend or API layer so users never see the error again.
Here’s what I need:
• Diagnose the precise reason the verification endpoint is failing (server logs, API responses, third-party gateway limits—whatever the culprit is).
• Patch or re-configure the code so the SMS code is dispatched and accepted reliably.
• Prove the fix with a short test script or screen-recording that shows the full verification flow completing without errors.
The project is done when a new user can register, receive the SMS code, enter it, and land inside the app without any manual intervention. Ask for sandbox credentials or logs as soon as you’re ready to dig in; I can supply them right away.
