Real-Time Looker Studio Dashboards
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need our dealership management system’s API wired into Looker Studio so management can glance at a wall-mounted TV or a desk monitor and instantly see how we are performing. The feed has to refresh automatically—no manual exports—and populate clear visualisations covering our sales goals, core KPIs, and customer-feedback metrics.
Here is the flow I have in mind: pull data directly from the DMS API (Google Sheets can sit in the middle only if it simplifies the connection), model it for daily, weekly, and month-to-date snapshots, then lay everything out in a single Looker Studio report with pages optimised for both large displays and laptop screens. Colour-coded gauges, trend lines, leaderboards, and simple drill-downs should make it obvious where we stand at a glance.
Deliverables
• API connection configured, tested, and documented
• Data model / transformation layer (SQL, Apps Script, or similar) with scheduled refresh
• Fully branded Looker Studio dashboard, responsive to 16:9 screens
• Handoff notes so we can tweak filters or add fields later without breaking anything
Acceptance criteria
1. Dashboards load in under five seconds on a 50 Mbps connection.
2. Metrics exactly match the figures shown in the DMS for the same time period.
3. Refresh cycle runs automatically at the interval we agree (ideally hourly) without errors.
If there’s a cleaner way to achieve the same end-to-end pipeline inside the Google stack, feel free to propose it, but the data must originate from the DMS API. Example attached to give you an idea of what I am looking for but much more intuitive and data driven.
