POS-SAP MM Interface Development
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I need a robust interface that links my point-of-sale (TC POS) system directly with SAP MM to keep our inventory data perfectly aligned. The interface should pick up every sale, return, or stock adjustment from the POS and update the corresponding material documents in SAP in real time—or as close to real time as network conditions allow.
Main objectives
• Automate inventory management in SAP MM: goods issue from sales, goods receipt on returns, and stock level reconciliation.
• Prevent manual upload errors and delays by replacing spreadsheets with straight-through integration.
• Provide clear error handling and logging so I can trace any failed transactions without digging through raw IDocs.
Scope of work
1. Map data fields between TC POS and SAP MM (material numbers, plant, storage location, quantity, movement type, timestamps).
2. Build the integration layer—BAPI, IDoc, or REST-based middleware—whichever you feel gives the cleanest, most future-proof solution.
3. Configure or create any necessary movement types and posting rules in SAP MM.
4. Deliver a test plan with unit tests in a sandbox, followed by support during cut-over to production.
5. Provide concise technical documentation: architecture diagram, config steps, and a troubleshooting guide.
Environment details you will receive
• Access to our SAP development client.
• POS API documentation.
• A small test dataset for dry runs.
Success criteria
• A single sale in the POS reflects as an immediate goods issue in SAP MM without manual action.
• No data loss during network interruptions—retry logic or queueing is in place.
• Error messages surface clearly in both systems so frontline staff can react quickly.
