Project: Interact with Your Scheduled Activity by Phone
1. Confirm that user’s personal information in Virtual PBX ‘greetings’ matches:
1a. MakeTime GoogleSheet > ‘Ask’ page and
1b. TTS Google Sheet > ‘Media’ page
Note:
i) ‘Coupons’ blurb is saved in MakeTime GoogleSheet > Ask > B49.
ii) Coupons TTS callflow field is imported to TTS Google Sheet H7.
iii) The field is fed by TTS Google Sheet to VPBx audio ‘greeting’ fields. (Listened to by the user.)
iv) TTS callflow field should be accessible via VirtualPBX API.
2. While using the Virtual PBx phone attendant to listen to her personal information (in ‘greetings’, after entering a PIN for authentication), user can press phone buttons to ‘Remove’, ‘Remove Previous’ or ‘Select’ an item being heard.
2a. User responses for ‘Remove’, ‘Remove Previous’ or ‘Select’.buttons are saved as “DTMF” responses (i.e., 1, 2, 3…9) responses in Virtual PBX database.
3. User’s ’Remove’, ‘Remove Previous’ and ‘Select’ options can be retrieved via VPBx API.
API: https://developer.virtualpbx.com/pivot. Find on “DTMF” and you’ll find instructions for retrieving data from that field.
Note: Webhooks are also an option for data transfer (please confirm security if using this method).: https://developer.virtualpbx.com/Webhooks-a8bfbe0c04ad4993a231488e3dd2f0f2
MakeTime Phone Content Category Selection (Listen, Update or Select Answers)
4. When user presses a phone button to ‘Remove’, ‘Remove Previous’ or ‘Select’, play a friendly sound to confirm the command was ‘received’ and is processing.
5. When user chooses “Coupons”, and listens to her low/out supplies and upcoming food expirations, he/she can ‘Remove’ or ‘Remove previous’ items.
He hears: “Coupons. You can press 1 to remove, 2 to remove the previous , 3 to add, and * to go back.
“Coupon 1 …Coupon 4 little caesar 5 dollars July 2 2023 -[1684x] [End 4] Coupon 5 Walgreens 5 dollars July 5 2024 -[1690x] [End 5] Coupon 6 Walgreens 5 dollars July 5 2024 -[1691x] [End 6] …Coupon 11 FoodMaxx 8 dollars July 6 2023 -[1784x] [End 11] Coupon 12 FoodMaxx 8 dollars July 6 2023 -[1785x] [End 12]”
Note: The bracketed information exists in the greeting blurbs but is NOT read out by the Virtual PBx TTS reader.
While listening to Coupon 11, user presses 1 to Remove, or 2 to Remove Previous.
6. When user presses ‘Remove’ or ‘Remove Previous’, the bracketed code is saved to the MakeTime Google Sheet > Enter page:
“xmt 113x” or “xmt 1684x.”
7. Users can invite others to respond to simple polls/surveys on a phone attendant option without a PIN required.
Respondents who are not regular customers of MakeTime can enter answers to simple questions, such as, “What would you like for dinner tonight? a) Spaghetti, b) Tacos, c) Chicken Satay.” (The questions are fed from MakeTime > GoogleSheet and TTS GoogleSheet as greetings).
7a. While listening to a greeting, respondents press a phone button to “Select” a response to a poll or survey.
8. Do not truncate or omit user’s info when processing ‘Remove’, ‘Remove Previous’ or ‘Select’ commands.
Other Considerations:
A. While user is listening to a blurb, the queued changes for that blurb shouldn’t occur until the user has moved away from the blurb, plus ~5 seconds.
B. I have requested that Virtual PBX ‘skip over’ the bracketed remove codes in their read-outs. I will get confirmation from them if/when they can accomplish this. For now, we will continue to hear them in the read-outs.
