Interactive Broker Excel API Bracket Order Automation

I need a single-sheet Excel workbook (ActiveX-enabled) that talks directly to my Interactive Brokers TWS through the standard API. Each trading day, as soon as the opening price for a given symbol is received, the sheet must fire one bracket order: a market entry plus the usual two protective legs based off a stock market index opening price.

The workbook should wait a user-defined number of minutes after the session opens, then transmit the order automatically—only once per day, even if I keep the sheet running. No technical indicators are involved; the trigger is simply “opening price received”.

My TWS is the previous stable release, so please code and test against that API version. The final file must run on a vanilla Excel install without extra add-ins beyond standard ActiveX controls, and all API credentials or port settings need to sit in clearly labelled cells for easy editing.

Deliverables:
• The completed Excel workbook with VBA/ActiveX code commented.
• A brief setup guide outlining any TWS API settings I must enable.
• A short test procedure so I can confirm the single daily order logic.

If the solution reliably places the bracket each morning and allows me to tweak its legs without touching the code, I’ll consider the job complete.
