Flight Itinerary Generator App

Job ID: 40290957

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a cross-platform application—web and mobile—that lets a user pull live flight data from the Skyscanner API, pick the segments they want, and instantly turn those selections into a branded “For Planning Purposes Only” itinerary in PDF format.

Scope of work
The core workflow is straightforward: a passenger name is entered, live Skyscanner schedules are displayed, the user chooses outbound and return legs, and a clean, clearly labeled itinerary is produced. The PDF must list airline, flight number, route, dates, times, booking class where available, plus a conspicuous disclaimer confirming it is not a boarding pass or ticket. No ticket-like barcodes or IATA boarding layouts are to be shown.

Key technical notes
• Front-end: any modern framework is welcome (React, Flutter, or similar) as long as it compiles cleanly for web and the major mobile OSs.
• Back-end: store only what is essential—query logs, generated PDFs, and basic audit data—to satisfy admin reporting and rate-limit controls.
• API usage must respect Skyscanner’s T&Cs; caching rules and attribution requirements have to be honored.
• Admin panel: a simple dashboard showing counts of PDFs generated per day, IP/user stats, and throttle settings.

Deliverables
1. Source code for both web and mobile builds.
2. Deployed demo (Heroku, Vercel, or similar) with a test API key.
3. Branded PDF template and generation module.
4. Brief setup documentation and a hand-over call.

Acceptance criteria
The app returns real-time flight options from Skyscanner, produces a PDF with no ticket-like elements, and enforces soft and hard rate limits from the admin panel without crashing under a basic load test.
