Establish Secure API Connection

I need to get my application talking smoothly with a third-party service through a dedicated API connection—this is not a database link or a general network setup. The job is to configure the endpoints, handle authentication (token or key), and prove the link works with at least one successful request/response cycle.

Deliverables
• Clean, well-commented code or configuration that establishes the connection
• A brief read-me explaining any environment variables and steps to replicate the call
• Confirmation that the call returns the expected data (screen capture or log output is fine)
