Build SaaS Platform with Dockerized RSS Bot + User Dashboard + Kubernetes Integration
Budget: €3,000 – €5,000 EUR
We are seeking an experienced DevOps + Python full-stack freelancer to build a SaaS-style platform that allows end-users to deploy and manage isolated instances of a content publishing bot.
This bot fetches, filters, and republishes RSS content to WordPress using the REST API and supports email notifications via SendGrid. We want each user to be able to "purchase" their own container-based instance and control variables (feeds, email, credentials, triggers) via web dashboard.
Technical Requirements:
Phase 1: Containerization & Bot Orchestration
• Dockerize an existing Python bot (already working)
• Allow user-specific configuration via environment variables or mounted feeds.json
• Build deployment-ready image (DockerHub or DOCR)
• Setup Kubernetes CronJob or Deployment YAML templates
• Ensure support for:
• Start/Stop logic
• Pause flag
• Logging to file and stdout
• Secrets (e.g., SendGrid, WordPress keys) as Kubernetes Secret
Phase 2: SaaS Web Interface (Admin UI)
• Flask or React dashboard with:
• User authentication (basic or Firebase)
• Feeds editor (add/edit/remove)
• Start / Stop / Pause control per instance
• Manual "Run now" trigger
• View bot logs (simple tail or file fetch)
• Optional: Email notification test button
Phase 3: Multi-User Deployment
• Multi-tenant design: each user runs isolated container
• Either one namespace per user or labeling via metadata
• Track per-user activity, config, and deployment status
• Optionally integrate with Stripe for billing/subscription
• Logging persistence (stdout or S3 per user)
Security
• All secrets (SendGrid, WordPress App Password) must be securely managed
• Admin access only to logs per user
• No container should have access to another user's data
Tech Stack (preferred)
• Python 3.10
• Docker
• Kubernetes (DigitalOcean or Minikube-compatible)
• Flask or FastAPI (for UI/API)
• Helm (optional)
• WordPress REST API
• SendGrid
Deliverables
• Production-ready Docker image
• Kubernetes YAMLs (Deployment/CronJob + ConfigMap + Secret templates)
• User dashboard (basic UI)
• Admin instructions for deploying new user instances
• Optionally: Billing integration via Stripe
Timeline
• Phase 1 (Docker + K8s YAMLs): 5–7 days
• Phase 2 (Web UI + API): 7–10 days
• Phase 3 (User multi-tenancy + billing): 7–10 days
You may apply for all phases or only the first one (please specify).
To Apply, Please Provide:
• Relevant portfolio (Dockerized bots, SaaS panels, or DevOps setups)
• Estimated cost for Phase 1 only and optionally for full scope
• Time availability and timezone
• Technology preferences
Bonus if you have:
• Experience with DigitalOcean Kubernetes
• Built similar "bot-as-a-service" platforms
• Familiarity with WordPress REST APIs
• Experience building dashboards in Flask or React
