Project: Phase 1 – Betfair Exchange API Integration & Live Trading Dashboard

Overview

I am looking for an experienced developer with prior experience working with the Betfair Exchange API.

The objective of Phase 1 is NOT to develop a trading strategy. The objective is to build a reliable platform that can later support multiple trading and betting strategies.

This is intended to be a long-term project with future development phases.

Phase 1 Scope

The application should:

1. Connect securely to the Betfair Exchange API.
2. Stream live market data in real time.
3. Display all available football markets.
4. Display:
- Match name
- Competition
- Match status and time (where available)
- Current score (where available)
- All available betting markets
- Back and Lay odds
- Market liquidity
- Matched volume
- Implied probability calculated from the current odds
5. Store all market updates in a database for future analysis and replay.
6. Allow exporting selected data to Excel/CSV.
7. Automatically reconnect if the API connection drops.
8. Include detailed logging and error handling.
9. Build the application with a modular architecture so future strategy modules can be added without major redevelopment.

User Interface

Please recommend the most suitable option based on cost, performance, and future scalability.

Possible options:

- Windows Desktop Application
- Web Application
- Mobile-friendly Web Application

If a web application is recommended, it should also work well on mobile devices.

Future Phases

The selected developer will have the opportunity to continue with future phases, including:

- Rule-based football betting strategy implementation.
- Correct Score Lay strategy automation.
- Real-time monitoring.
- Risk management engine.
- Cash-out logic.
- Position management.
- Automated order placement through the Betfair Exchange API.
- Historical replay and backtesting using recorded market data.
- Additional strategy modules as the project evolves.

Technical Requirements

I am looking for a developer for a long-term working relationship.

After successful completion of Phase 1, I would like to have an optional monthly maintenance and support agreement.

The maintenance should mainly cover:

- Bug fixes.
- API changes or updates.
- Connection or streaming issues.
- Minor fixes required to keep the application stable and running.

Major feature additions or future development work will be handled as separate paid milestones.

Please include:

- Whether you provide monthly maintenance.
- Your monthly maintenance charges.
- What is included in the maintenance package.
- Your typical response time for fixing critical issues.

Important

I am looking for a reliable developer who values long-term collaboration rather than just completing a one-time project. If Phase 1 is successful, there will be additional paid milestones for new features, automation, strategy implementation, and continuous improvements.
