Automated SMS Casual Staff Alerts

I need a fully automated SMS system that instantly notifies my pool of casual staff whenever shifts open up. Staff should be organised by their shift availability, so the moment I post a shift, only those flagged as available at that time receive the message.

Here’s how I picture it working:
• A simple dashboard or admin panel where I upload or edit staff details, set their availability windows, and create new shift calls.
• Automatic routing of each new shift to the right availability group, with the message delivered via SMS through a reliable gateway such as Twilio, MessageBird, or a similar API.
• Smart throttling to avoid spamming: once a staff member responds “YES” to a shift, no further messages are sent for that slot.
• Logging and basic analytics so I can see who was contacted, delivery status, and acceptance times.

A functional prototype that I can test with a handful of real numbers will be the first milestone. From there we can refine the workflow, add bulk-upload tools, or connect it to my existing scheduling software if feasible.
