Automate Monday.com Task Assignment

I need my Monday.com board to hand-off new tasks to the right people automatically as soon as a pulse is created. The goal is simple: whenever a new item appears, the system should look at predefined rules—team, project type, workload, or any other column I set—and assign the owner without manual intervention.

Scope
• Set up an automation (native recipe, integration, or custom API script) that triggers “Based on task creation.”
• Map my existing columns to clear assignment logic so each new item immediately receives the correct owner.
• Make sure the solution scales; I often add new team members and dropdown values, so modifying the rules later should be straightforward.
• Provide a quick walkthrough or short Loom video so I can tweak the automation myself after hand-off.

Acceptance criteria
• Creating a new item instantly fills the People column with the correct assignee 100% of the time.
• No unintended changes to my other automations or board structure.
• Documentation (one-pager) outlining the rule logic and where to adjust it.
