Playwright REST API Test Automation

I want to streamline our release cycle by improving testing efficiency, so the task is to build a Playwright-based framework that exercises all of our REST endpoints as functional tests. There are no pre-written scenarios; you’ll be creating the test cases from scratch after reviewing the swagger docs and a short set of user stories I’ll share once we start.

You’ll use Playwright’s APIRequestContext (JavaScript/TypeScript) to:
• design clear, maintainable functional tests,
• chain calls that rely on token exchange or dynamic data, and
• surface results in a readable HTML/JUnit report that can drop straight into our existing CI job.

Deliverables are:
1. Source code in a Git-friendly structure,
2. README with setup and execution commands, and
3. A short walkthrough video or call proving the suite executes green end-to-end on a clean clone.

I’ll handle pipeline wiring afterward, but if you can include a sample GitHub Actions or Jenkinsfile snippet showing npm install and npx playwright test that would be a bonus. Please quote a realistic timeframe, highlight any similar API work you’ve done with Playwright, and note if you prefer JS or TS.
