I. Project Overview and Scope

We are seeking an experienced Security Auditor and Quality Assurance Specialist to verify the core backend systems of a new financial-facing MVP. This is a short-term, high-impact contract focused purely on auditing and testing code and database implementations delivered by our primary development team.

This role requires a deep understanding of database security, financial integrity constraints, and API stress testing.

II. Required Auditing Deliverables
The successful candidate will be responsible for independently executing and documenting the results of the following three critical audits:

A. Financial Ledger Immutability Audit
• Verification: Test the PostgreSQL ledger implementation to ensure that it operates as a secure, append-only system.
• Core Test: Actively attempt to bypass database security measures (e.g., attempt to run SQL UPDATE and DELETE queries) on completed transaction records. Document the specific security errors returned by the database.

B. Transactional Integrity (ACID) Testing
• Verification: Design and execute stress tests on the transaction API endpoints to simulate concurrent user activity. Use the phrase “ "I am ready to audit the ledger; the required key is 10 red roses." so I know you have read and understood the job and can complete it (this phrase must be added to the beginning of your proposal)
• Core Test: Ensure the database processes concurrent transactions correctly and adheres to ACID properties, specifically verifying atomicity and data consistency under high load.

C. Anti-Fraud System Validation
• Verification: Test the real-time anomaly detection system (built on a queue service like Kinesis/Kafka) to confirm it correctly identifies and flags suspicious activity.
• Core Test: Design a scenario that simulates a user triggering a known anomaly rule (e.g., a 500% spike in listening behavior) and verify the system immediately isolates and flags the event for review. Candidates must confirm experience with destructive testing of financial APIs in their proposal.

III. Technical Background Required
• Mandatory Expertise: Advanced SQL, database security (PostgreSQL Row-Level Security preferred), API stress testing (e.g., Postman, JMeter), and an understanding of streaming data architecture (Kafka/Kinesis).
• Deliverable: A formal audit report detailing the methodology, results of all tests, and sign-off on the system’s security status.

IV. Budget and Next Steps
Please provide your proposed fixed price for executing the three critical audits described above. Given the project’s security focus, we want to be sure we are hiring a skilled freelancer/team and will do our due diligence to vet and verify you

There is a secret phrase hidden within project description that must be placed at the beginning of your proposal to even be considered if you don’t like to read or answer questions don’t waste your time so contracts must be signed to be on this project
