Backend Tester / QA (Milestone-Based – Break & Stress Test Systems)

We are hiring a backend tester to validate and stress test a multi-stage platform during development.
This is NOT a simple “click and report bugs” role.
We need someone who can:
- Test systems like a real user
- Try to break flows
- Identify gaps, edge cases, and failures
- Validate that each milestone is COMPLETE (not just functional)
You will be testing a platform built in stages (milestones). Each milestone must be reviewed thoroughly before moving forward.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test APIs, flows, and user actions
- Attempt to break logic from a real user perspective
- Try edge cases (duplicate actions, invalid inputs, timing issues)
- Validate backend-driven rules (NOT frontend assumptions)
- Confirm data integrity (especially financial logic later)
- Document ALL findings clearly
This is NOT just:
"Signup works"
This IS:
"What happens if I spam signup 20 times?"
"What happens if I refresh during payment?"
"Can I bypass validation?"
"Can I trigger duplicate transactions?"

WHAT YOU WILL TEST
Each milestone includes systems such as:
- Authentication & user flows
- Permissions / roles
- Data handling
- Media/content systems
- Financial transactions
- Referral/affiliate tracking
- Admin controls
You do NOT need full code access.
Testing will be done from a user perspective + API endpoints where provided.
If you can do the job have read and understand the job add the phrase “I can break it” and only those with that phrase at the front/top of their proposal will be contacted

PAY STRUCTURE (FIXED PER MILESTONE)
Milestone 1: $15–$25
Milestone 2: $20–$30
Milestone 3 (Financial): $30–$50
Milestone 4: $25–$40
Milestone 5: $25–$40
Milestone 6–7 (combined): $40–$60

BONUS (IMPORTANT)
If you are able to:
- Break a system
- Find a critical flaw
- Expose a logic gap
- Trigger unintended behavior
You will receive a BONUS.
We are specifically looking for testers who THINK, not just follow instructions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Experience testing web apps or APIs
- Understands how users behave (and misbehave)
- Can think creatively and independently
- NOT someone who just follows a checklist
- Comfortable documenting findings clearly
