WordPress Catalog API Integration

I’ll receive a single API endpoint from my distributor that exposes their entire product catalog. What I need is a seamless connection between that feed and my existing WordPress site so every item appears in our store and stays aligned with the source at all times.

The scope is a full catalog sync: an initial import of all products followed by automatic, unattended updates whenever the distributor changes anything. Whether you build a bespoke plugin or adapt an off-the-shelf connector is up to you; reliability and clean code are what matter most.

Please ensure the integration pulls standard product data—titles, descriptions, prices, images, stock status—and maps everything correctly to my current theme and taxonomies. The sync process should run on a schedule I can adjust (cron or similar) and include logging so issues are easy to trace. If authentication keys or rate limits come into play, handle those within the solution.
