Spotify API Integration & QA
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I’m looking for a developer who can take our current, partially-wired Spotify connection and turn it into a rock-solid, production-ready feature that streams music flawlessly on both iOS and Android. Playback sometimes freezes, token refresh calls are unreliable, and a few edge-case crashes still sneak through TestFlight and the internal beta track on Google Play. Your first task will be to trace and squash every one of those bugs, then harden the flow so it stays stable at scale.
Once the core streaming path is airtight, I need the integration pushed further for corporate use. That means two things: surfacing advanced analytics (think session length, skipped tracks, and popular playlists) and tightening security (secure token storage, certificate pinning, granular scopes, and clean logout). Our backend already exposes REST hooks you can call; you’ll just wire the Spotify data in and make sure the payloads match the existing JSON schema.
Key deliverables
• Seamless Spotify streaming on both platforms with a full regression test suite (unit, integration, UI).
• Analytics endpoints feeding our internal dashboard with track, user, and session metrics.
• Security hardening report covering token lifecycle, encrypted traffic, and least-privilege scopes.
• Final smoke test demonstrating smooth playback, reliable reconnection, and zero crash logs.
I expect clean, well-commented code (Swift/Objective-C on iOS, Kotlin/Java on Android), Git commits tied to issues, and a brief hand-off call so my in-house team understands the changes. If you’ve debugged Spotify SDK issues before and enjoy polishing apps until they shine, let’s get started.
