Odoo CSV Customer Importer Module

I’m looking for a straightforward way to pull my existing customer base into Odoo from a CSV file. The file only includes standard name and contact information—no purchase history or internal notes—so the job is focused on mapping those basic fields (e.g., first/last name, phone, email, street, city, state, ZIP, country) to the corresponding Odoo customer partner records.

Please provide either:

• a reusable Odoo module or script that reads the CSV and creates/updates customer records,
• clear installation and usage instructions so I can run future imports on my own, and
• brief notes on any field-mapping assumptions you make.

I’m on a self-hosted instance, so direct access to the backend is not available. You have to develop the script on your end (with test data that I provide) and make it configurable so that I can configure the instance and login information to run with our instance. No supplier or employee data is required at this stage—customers only.
