Jooble API Integration & Fixes

I have a recruitment web app built with React 18 on the front end and a Node/Express + MongoDB Atlas stack on the back. The next milestone is to pull live listings from the Jooble API and merge them with the jobs already stored in our database. I already hold the API key and the current search component is ready to consume external data; it just needs the new endpoint wired in, results normalised, and displayed in our existing MUI card layout.

While adding this feed I also want to tighten the site’s performance and clear out a pair of nagging bugs:

• Search occasionally returns an empty array after a filter reset.
• Pagination jumps the page back to the top in certain browsers.

Key objectives
– Functionality enhancements and bug fixes focused on optimising performance.
– Improve search functionality and data presentation so merged results load in under two seconds and keep the UI consistent.
– Index any sluggish Mongo collections and eliminate blocking calls that surface during the integration.

Deliverables
1. Jooble API fully integrated, governed by current search parameters, and rendered in the existing card grid.
2. Both listed bugs resolved with clean, documented code pushed to our Git repo.
3. Lighthouse performance score maintained at 90+ for desktop and mobile after the changes.
4. Clear setup instructions or PR notes so I can reproduce the build locally.

Tech in play: React, Axios (open to React Query or SWR for caching), Node/Express, MongoDB, MUI. If a lightweight cache or Redis layer helps meet the speed target, feel free to propose it.

That’s the scope for this round; once stable we can move on to new features, but the immediate deliverable is the Jooble integration plus the performance-centred fixes above.
