I need a lightweight, browser-based portal whose sole focus is tracking our shipments in real time for our internal staff. The goal is to give team members a single dashboard where they can pull up any consignment and instantly see its latest location, current delivery status, and projected arrival time.
Key requirements
• Secure login tied to our existing staff directory (SSO is preferred).
• Searchable shipment list with filters for date range, carrier, and priority.
• Live map view that pings carrier APIs to update location and ETA automatically.
• Status timeline that keeps historical movement data for auditing.
• Simple admin panel so I can add carriers, adjust API keys, and manage user roles without touching code.
Tech preferences
I am comfortable if you build with a common stack such as React or Vue for the front end and Node, Django, or Laravel on the back. A responsive layout is important because our warehouse team often checks updates from tablets.
Acceptance criteria
1. Demo site deployed to a staging URL.
2. Codebase pushed to our private Git repo with clear setup instructions.
3. All listed features functioning end-to-end against at least one live carrier API.
