Gmail Follow-Up Email Automation
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I need a reliable way to send automatic follow-up emails from my Gmail account whenever an initial message receives no reply within a set timeframe. The goal is to eliminate the manual effort of tracking conversations and nudging recipients, while keeping every follow-up personalized and compliant with Gmail limits.
Scope of work
• Connect directly to Gmail—Google Apps Script, the Gmail API, or a comparable solution is fine as long as it runs smoothly inside my existing Google Workspace.
• Detect when I send (or label) an outgoing email, start a quiet timer, then dispatch one or more follow-ups if the thread remains unanswered.
• Allow me to edit the follow-up templates (subject, body, timing delays) without rewriting code.
• Preserve the conversation thread so replies appear naturally in the same chain.
• Provide a simple dashboard or spreadsheet log that shows which messages have been sent, which are queued, and which were skipped because the recipient replied.
Acceptance criteria
1. All follow-ups are delivered from my primary Gmail address and land in the same thread.
2. No Gmail daily-send limits are exceeded; the script must throttle or pause if close to the cap.
3. Configuration for delays and template text can be changed by me without developer assistance.
4. A brief setup guide (or recorded walkthrough) is included so I can redeploy the solution later.
If you have proven experience with Google Apps Script, Python + Gmail API, or a Zapier-style integration that meets the above, let me know how you plan to tackle it and any similar projects you have shipped.
