Full-Stack Developer for Automated Invoice API Integration with Existing Stripe Payment System
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Overview: This project involves integrating the SmartBill automated invoicing system into our existing travel platform, specifically for payments made via the already integrated Stripe payment gateway. The integration will apply exclusively to reservations for airline tickets, hotel bookings, and vacation packages. The primary objective is to automate the generation and management of invoices through the SmartBill API for these services, ensuring compliance with Romanian invoicing regulations. The project will also include necessary enhancements to the user interface and backend systems to facilitate the management of billing information and provide users with access to their invoices.
Technology Stack: The platform's frontend is built using Angular 15, the backend is developed in Java 11, and the database is managed using MongoDB. The developer must be highly skilled in these technologies and experienced in integrating third-party APIs, particularly for invoicing systems like SmartBill.
Key Tasks:
User Billing Information Management:
The design for managing user billing information (both personal and company details) is already created in the user menu on the production environment.
The developer will need to implement an API that allows users to input, update, and manage their billing information. This data should automatically populate the checkout page, with users having the option to edit details as needed before finalizing payment.
A new path must be created in the backend to store this billing information in the database, associating it with the user ID.
Automated Invoice Generation via SmartBill API:
The SmartBill API must be integrated to generate invoices immediately after a successful payment via Stripe. These invoices should include the user's billing details, the amount paid, and a summary of the purchased service (e.g., hotel name, room type, stay period, guest information).
Invoices are required only for hotel bookings, airline tickets, and vacation packages.
Once generated, invoices must be accessible to the user exclusively from the reservation voucher interface, with a fully functional download option. Only invoices related to the specific voucher should be viewable and downloadable by the user.
The developer may use Jasper Reports or a similar tool to handle the formatting and generation of these downloadable invoices.
Security and Intellectual Property:
Version Control: The project will be managed using GitLab.
Communication: All project-related communication will take place via Slack.
Access to the source code will be provided through security measures established by the client.
The source code, both existing and newly written by the developer, remains the exclusive property of the client.
The developer acknowledges that they have no rights to the source code and that it has always been, is, and will continue to be the property of the client.
Delivery and Payment Terms:
Deadline: The project has a strict deadline of 7 calendar days.
This deadline is non-negotiable.
Penalty for Delay: If the developer fails to meet the agreed deadline, a penalty of 3% per day of the total project cost will be applied until the work is completed and accepted by the client.
Budget: The project budget is $1000, non-negotiable.
The project will be managed under a formal contract and a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
A short ID verification will be conducted via Meeting.
Payment will be made after the progress is uploaded and tested in the production environment.
Testing and Acceptance Criteria:
Testing: Testing will be conducted with the developer via recorded videoconference with screen sharing. The functionalities implemented by the developer will be tested against the specified requirements during these sessions.
The modifications must work seamlessly with the existing Stripe payment system and support the generation and management of invoices via the SmartBill API.
The solution must be tested across hotel bookings, airline tickets, and vacation packages to ensure compatibility with the user interface, including desktop and mobile responsive designs.
Developer Qualifications:
The developer must be a senior full-stack developer with extensive experience in Angular 15 for the frontend, Java 11 for the backend, and MongoDB for the database.
Familiarity with the SmartBill API and previous experience in integrating third-party invoicing systems is required.
Proficiency in these technologies is mandatory, as the project requires deep integration with the existing system and seamless performance across the entire stack.
Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): The developer agrees to adhere strictly to the terms of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) associated with this project. This includes, but is not limited to:
Prohibiting any discussion or sharing of the project details with third parties.
Ensuring that any technology, design, or code developed for this project is not reused, repurposed, or disclosed in any other projects without the express written permission of the client.
All information and materials provided during the course of the project must be handled with the highest level of confidentiality and returned to the client upon completion or termination of the contract.
Final Note: All deliverables must strictly adhere to the specified requirements, ensuring seamless integration with the existing Stripe payment system and SmartBill API, while complying with Romanian invoicing regulations. The existing production environment will be modified as necessary to implement these features, with no new code being written from scratch. This project is focused on enhancing the platform's existing reservation and payment processes to include automated invoicing and user billing management specifically for hotel bookings, airline tickets, and vacation packages.
