Fix CF7–Mailchimp Integration

Everything in Bit Integrations says my Contact Form 7 (latest version) is connected to Mailchimp, yet any new form submission still never lands in my Main Audience. No custom fields are involved, so the mapping should be straightforward, and I have already verified the API keys.
What I need from you:
• Trace where the hand-off between CF7 and Mailchimp is failing and correct it.
• Make sure Mailchimp’s double-opt-in flow fires every time a form is submitted.
• Prove it works by submitting a couple of test entries and showing them appear—pending and then confirmed—in the Main Audience.
• Summarise the fix so I can replicate it if I ever rebuild the site.
