Estate Agent Insights Hub Creation
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced full-stack or front-end-heavy developer to build a clean, fast, and intuitive web interface on top of the Street Data API (Street Group).
The platform will be used by UK estate agents to discover valuable housing insights in their local areas — helping them identify opportunities, analyse micro-markets, shortlist properties, and generate reports.
In addition, the system should allow agents to export data and trigger direct-mail campaigns by sending selected addresses or reports to a connected mailing house for fulfilment.
This is an MVP build with scope to expand into a commercial product.
Primary Users
UK estate agents and branch teams.
Core User Workflows
Agents should be able to:
1. Search an area (postcode, town, address, map).
2. View a summary of housing insights for that area.
3. Drill into individual properties.
4. Filter and rank properties.
5. Compare multiple properties.
6. Save properties and areas.
7. Export insights to CSV/PDF.
8. Send selected properties/areas to a mailing house for direct mail campaign fulfilment.
9. Generate simple branded reports for prospecting.
Data Source
The product will integrate with:
• Street Data API (OpenAPI / REST / JSON).
• Authentication via API keys or bearer tokens.
• The OpenAPI schema will be provided.
You must be comfortable:
• Working directly from OpenAPI specs.
• Generating typed clients.
• Handling pagination.
• Managing rate limits.
• Implementing retries/backoff.
• Caching common queries.
MVP Scope
1. App Layout
• Modern, professional dashboard UI.
• Desktop-first responsive design.
• Navigation sections:
o Area Search
o Property Search
o Saved Items
o Reports & Exports
o Campaigns (Direct Mail)
o Settings
2. Area Search & Insights
• Search by postcode/town/address.
• Optional map-based selection (radius/polygon).
• Display area-level KPIs supported by the API.
• Property lists ranked by opportunity indicators.
• Filters:
o Beds
o Property type
o Price bands
o Tenure
o Other available API fields.
3. Property Detail Page
• Full property profile.
• Key signals and attributes surfaced clearly.
• Tooltips / explanations for non-technical users.
• Save and compare options.
4. Comparison Tool
• Compare up to 3–5 properties side-by-side.
• Highlight differences.
• Exportable view.
5. Saved Areas & Properties
• Save searches and locations.
• Notes/tags.
• Local storage for MVP or lightweight backend persistence.
6. Reports & Exporting
• CSV exports.
• Branded PDF reports generated from HTML templates including:
o Area overview.
o Key stats.
o Top opportunities.
o Selected properties.
7. Direct Mail Integration (Important)
The system should allow agents to:
• Select a group of properties or addresses.
• Export or transmit them to a mailing house for fulfilment.
• Support:
o CSV push.
o API webhook integration (preferred).
o Campaign reference tracking.
• Simple campaign builder:
o Campaign name.
o Message/template selection.
o Quantity.
o Status (sent / pending / fulfilled).
We will supply details of the mailing house or fulfilment API later — the architecture should allow this to be swapped or extended.
Phase 2 / Nice-to-Haves
• Team accounts.
• User roles.
• Shareable report links.
• Activity history.
• Advanced charts.
• CRM integrations.
• Webhook-based syncing.
UX / UI Requirements
• Clean, modern SaaS look.
• Extremely simple for non-technical users.
• Progressive disclosure of advanced fields.
• Fast loading.
• Excellent empty/error states.
• UK-specific formatting.
• Accessible and keyboard-friendly.
Technical Requirements
Architecture
• Front-end: React + TypeScript (Next.js acceptable).
• UI framework: Tailwind / MUI or similar.
• Optional backend proxy for:
o API key security.
o Caching.
o Logging.
o Rate-limit handling.
• Maps: Mapbox / Google Maps / Leaflet (if included).
Engineering Standards
• Typed OpenAPI client preferred.
• Pagination + retry/backoff implemented.
• API secrets stored via env vars.
• Clear README.
• Modular architecture.
• Basic automated tests.
• Logging hooks.
Deliverables
• GitHub repository.
• Deployed staging app (Vercel/Netlify/Render/etc.).
• Environment-driven config.
• Documentation.
• Handover notes or short Loom walkthrough.
• Instructions for connecting mailing house APIs.
Acceptance Criteria

• Search an area.
• View area insights.
• Open property profiles.
• Compare properties.

• Export CSVs.
• Generate PDFs.
• Send addresses to a mailing house for a campaign.
The app handles:
