Enable Ethiopian Bank Account Payments

Job ID: 39810107

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I run an online subscription service aimed at users in Ethiopia. In the admin panel I have both “Credit/Debit card” and “Bank account” ticked as available payment options, yet subscribers only ever see the card option at checkout. I need a payment-flow specialist to find out why the bank-account method is missing and then make it fully functional.

First, I’d like a concise diagnosis: is the problem coming from my current gateway’s feature set, a configuration mis-step, or a regional restriction? Once we know the root cause, I want a practical fix. That may be as simple as correcting a webhook or as involved as integrating a new gateway that supports direct Ethiopian bank debits or trusted local services such as Telebirr or CBE Birr—whichever meets recurring-billing requirements and compliance rules.

Deliverables
• Written explanation (one page max) of why the bank-account option is not displaying
• Recommendation of the best gateway or configuration path for recurring Ethiopian bank payments, with pros and cons
• Implementation and testing of the working solution in both sandbox and live modes
• Brief hand-off notes so I can maintain the integration going forward

Please include in your proposal:
• Your preferred tools or APIs for Ethiopian bank integrations
• A short example of a similar subscription-payment project you have completed
• Estimated timeline from investigation to live deployment

Clear, quick communication and clean code are key. Looking forward to finally giving my Ethiopian subscribers the local bank option they keep requesting.
