Custom Site WordPress Login

I run a fully custom-built website and now need a dependable login system powered by WordPress. The goal is to let WordPress handle user registration, authentication and profile management while the rest of the site keeps its current codebase and design.
Here’s what I need from you: build or configure the WordPress component, connect it cleanly to my existing site (single sign-on or API calls, whichever you feel is most stable), harden security, and return a working module I can drop straight into production. All existing pages must recognise the logged-in state without forcing users onto a separate WordPress-looking page, so tight theme or API integration is essential.
