Build Low-Cost Email Infrastructure

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need a seasoned email-infrastructure engineer to help me design and stand up a system that can push very large volumes of newsletter traffic every day while keeping sending costs as close to zero as possible. I am open to any combination of self-hosted MTAs, cloud SMTP relays, or hybrid setups, as long as the end result is reliable, scalable, and simple to bolt onto the other tools I already use via API or SMTP.

Here’s what I expect from the engagement:
• A clearly explained architecture that shows each component (MTA, queue, tracking, bounce/complaint handling, analytics layer, etc.) and how they fit together.
• Realistic throughput estimates—messages per minute and per day—plus the warm-up plan required to get there without hurting reputation.
• A deliverability strategy covering IP rotation, SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment, feedback loops, and list-hygiene best practices.
• A cost breakdown that proves the solution is either free (open-source stack) or extremely low-cost, including any optional pay-as-you-go services.
• A working proof of concept I can deploy on my own VPS or cloud instance, documented well enough that a developer familiar with Docker or basic Linux administration can replicate it.
• Sample integration snippets (REST, SMTP, or SDK) so my other tools can start sending right away.

I will judge success by the clarity of the documentation, the ease of integration, and the ability to send at least 100 k newsletters per day with an inbox placement rate on par with mainstream ESPs.
