Automated Gold Price Sync Shopify
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Our Shopify jewellery catalogue must always reflect the latest gold market price, recalculated once every day. I do not yet have a live-rate feed, so the first step will be for you to recommend and integrate a reliable gold-rate API (open, paid, or bank-sourced—whichever you feel is stable and well-documented).
Once the feed is chosen, I need a custom solution—Liquid logic, Shopify Admin or Storefront API calls, an app proxy, or a lightweight private app—that will:
• pull the current price of gold daily (JSON or XML)
• update all jewellery products and variants according to a simple conversion formula I will supply (weight × making-charge ± margin)
• write the new price back to Shopify without interrupting storefront traffic
Use native scheduling where possible (Shopify Flow, Admin API with a hosted function, or an external cron) so no manual trigger is required. The update log and any errors should be surfaced in the Admin for easy monitoring.
Deliverables & acceptance
• Working integration with the selected live-rate API
• Automated daily price job visible in Admin
• Clear documentation of code, API keys, and adjustment formula
• Short hand-off call or screen-share to walk through the setup
