I need IOT development based software
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I’m building a flexible software layer that can interface with a variety of connected devices and turn raw sensor data into actionable insight. The scope covers the complete stack—from device-side messaging through to a cloud-hosted back end and a lightweight web or mobile dashboard.
The work begins with a short discovery session where we will finalise the target hardware, select the optimal protocol (MQTT, HTTP/REST, WebSockets, or a mix of Wi-Fi, BLE, or cellular links), and outline security requirements such as TLS, token-based auth, and OTA update strategy. From there, I need the core services coded (Python, Node.js, or other reasonable platform), a database schema designed for time-series data, and an API that cleanly exposes device states, alerts, and historical metrics.
Deliverables
• Running prototype that can enrol at least one device, stream live telemetry, and receive control commands
• Source code in a private Git repository with sensible commit history
• Deployment scripts or Docker files so I can spin up the stack on AWS IoT Core, Azure, or a local edge gateway
• Brief documentation: architecture diagram, build steps, and a quick-start guide for adding new devices
Acceptance will be based on the prototype’s ability to connect, publish, subscribe, and persist data for a 24-hour soak test without crashes or data loss. Once this milestone is met, we’ll move on to polishing the UI, refining analytics, and planning further integrations.
